Welcome in Ferienhaus am Hohen Venn
Welcome to Ferienhaus am Hohen Venn
a detached former farmhouse with a sunny private garden.
For rent with one to four bedrooms and up to two bathrooms, it is a flexible house, suitable for two, but also for six adults and one or two babies. The large sunny garden offers a lot of privacy and is surrounded by meadows. There will never be other guests in the house when you are staying there, whether you come alone or with a party of six.
The living quarters are on the 1st floor, on the ground floor there is a second bathroom and a laundry room.
In other parts of the ground floor we have a small office and pantry for our private use. When there are guests, we won't use these spaces, so your privacy is guaranteed.
Meal-with-a-view
Both the kitchen and the living room afford wonderful views of the green surroundings.

Walking
You can enjoy unlimited walking all year round in the rugged High Fens and in the Eifel, from short tours to challenging day marches.
Cycling
And of course you can cycle the famous Vennbahn cycle path, which runs along the village and leads through a particularly beautiful landscape. With a gradient of no more than 3%, it is a perfect and relaxing way to discover the area. The Vennbahn will also take you close to Monschau.
The area offers plenty of challenges for cyclists with mountain experience and for mountain bike enthousiasts too.
Watersports
There are several reservoirs in the area, where you can swim and practice other water sports.
Wintersports
In winter you can often enjoy winter sports. There are cross-country trails in Kalterherberg and in many of the surrounding villages. At a 15-20 minutes drive you will find an downhill slope and toboggan.

We have worked hard to renovate the house and are very happy with the result. Of course we hope that all our guests will enjoy a very nice holiday, whether they come for the special nature of the High Fens, the nice towns and villages in the area, to relax with a good book in the garden, or for outdoor pursuits.
Our house is a non-smoking home. Of course you can smoke in the garden, but we ask you not to smoke indoors. We would also like to be able to welcome guests with allergies to our house. Therefore, unfortunately, you can not bring your pets.
